Origami Owl/Think Goodness
When my daughter Jill was 14, she wanted to go to dance camp in the summer. Her dad said "Pay for it yourself." She had some money from babysitting, but because of her dance classes which were 4 nights a week and Saturdays, she didn't have time for a regular job. I has recently been to an Origami Owl event, and learned about the Owlette program (now Young Entrepreneurs) where kids age 11 to 17 could sign up under a parent or guardian and have their own business. So we signed up. She made enough money to pay for dance camp, and to pay her way to the convention in Chicago, where she met other kids, some who became lifelong friends.
Origami Owl was started by a 14 year old girl who wanted her parents to buy her a car, and was told to pay for it herself. She started a company based around lockets which hold tiny charms to tell stories. There are charms for everyone, from family, sports, hobbies, occupations, etc. We love to help people create meaningful pieces and tell their stories with jewellery!
Origami Owl has expanded to become Think Goodness, which now includes Willing Beauty clean skin care, and CMYK clean makeup. And every purchase gives back to the Think Goodness Foundation, making true impacts - both big and small. It allows us to do Random Acts of Goodness and deliver joy, happiness and hope to everyone we come across, making the world a little brighter. A little better. A little more fun. A lot more GOOD!
Our Vision is to be a global Force for Good; to love, inspire + motivate people of all ages to reach their dreams and empower them to make a difference in the lives of others.
