My Online Vendor Show is Over… Now, what?!?!
One of my favourite parts of Trading-Secrets is that we are so much more than the people that host your online vendor shows. We are a company and community that specializes in growing network market businesses. Your online vendor show may be over, but there are still lots of ways that you can continue to grow your business through our events! Here are some tips on what you should be doing after your event is over.
Maximizing on your Event Pass
When you do an event with Trading-Secrets, you sign up and receive your complimentary event pass. Many people are so quick to create their profile and register for their event that they completely overlook all the other amazing tools at their disposal through the event pass. We can continue to help you grow your business even after your event is over. You just need to know what to do and where to look. Here are some of my favorite aspects of the Trading-Secrets event pass that I think are most beneficial to our members:
Your Business Profile
The first thing you are going to want to do with your event pass is create your full business profile. You can do this straight from your dashboard by clicking manage listing. Fill out some information about yourself and your company - and BOOM, you are online and have another place to network your business! It just makes sense to list your company on a platform that is known for network marketing and has hundreds of people visiting each week. There are even options to post products, videos and articles. Want to gain even more exposure? Encourage your customers to give you reviews and testimonials. This is such a great way to set yourself apart from other specialists in your field and to establish trust with new customers.
Member Courses
You probably already know all about the Events 101 training - a whole course dedicated to how to make the most of your vendor show experience. If you haven’t had a chance to check it out yet, I highly recommend viewing these learning modules at your own pace and watching them before your next online vendor show with us. What you might not know is that we also have a bunch of courses that are geared towards people just like you - people who run their own small home-based businesses and use social marketing for networking and advertising! Some of the courses include how to overcome procrastination, creating an effective social media sale video, maximizing facebook as a networking tool and how to have confident communications. Each of these courses are broken down into short, simple modules so that you can learn at your own pace AND there is a new one each month! We also have live training each month with motivational speaker and John Maxwell certified coach Kari-Lynn Hastman. As an added bonus, all of our live training is recorded and available to replay through your Trading-Secrets dashboard. Just 20 minutes of self-development can create a HUGE impact, so take advantage of these online trainings!
Social Media Posts and Images
You might have already noticed that all of our events follow a theme. We will always give you complementary images to use that go along with that theme AND you can use these images in the future for your personal VIP page. Did you know you could have access to even more social media content? Most of us have so much going on in our lives with work, family, other side gigs, the list goes on… It can be hard to come up with content for our VIP groups and other social media platforms we network on. With our trading-secrets VIP account, you have access to 100s of social media images and posts ready to be customized by you. We have games, questions and content all designed to increase your social media presence and get your business SEEN!
Networking After Your Event
Building Lasting Relationships
An online vendor show is not about sales (although I’m sure we would all agree that sales are always a nice bonus) - it is about growing your online business. This is the most important thing to remember when participating in an event! You and your business are going to be exposed to new people all across North America. You have invited your network, and are connecting with 14 other people’s networks throughout the event. Connecting with all those people and finding the guests that are a good fit with you and your company is going to take time and a little bit of work on your end. Don’t waste a good opportunity by being focused on the quick sale. Connecting with new cold market contacts, taking the time to build the relationship and turning them into warm market contacts is how you are going to really be successful. Is it more work? Absolutely - but it will also help you grow your business in the long run. Just think, would you rather have a customer that buys from you once during an event that you never hear from again OR would you rather connect and foster a relationship with someone who will be a lifelong customer?
Continuing to Working the Group
There is so much going on the week during an event, and we all know how easy it is for information to get lost on Facebook. Once your event is over and things have settled down, take some time to really go through the group. Scroll through your posts, make sure you don't miss connecting with anyone who liked or commented on your posts. Take a browse through the group and find guests that were super engaged - what interests them and do you have something to offer that you think might be a good fit? Go make that connection!
Transitioning Someone from a Vendor Show Guest to a VIP Group Guest
Gaining new members in your VIP group should always be one of your top networking goals within an online vendor event. Seriously, if you have not already done this, stroll through your event group, make a note of everyone who you interacted with, and invite them to your VIP group! If they have already joined, make sure to reach out, thank them, and start building that relationship. This is one of the best ways that you are going to keep in contact with your guests and keep them informed about your business.
In order to keep your guests engaged, you have to make your VIP group stand out. Ask yourself, what makes your VIP group different? After you have completed your online vendor show, take some time to plan upcoming content in your VIP group. You want to have posts that are going to HOOK your new guests and keep them checked in. For a simple recipe for creating successful VIP group content, check out my blog next month!
In Conclusion….
Before you shut the door and consider your online event officially over, make sure you have left no networking stone unturned and that you have really gained everything you possibly can from your vendor experience. Your online events can be an amazing tool for growing your business. Follow these tips to utilize these tools to their full extent!
