Hi Everyone! Thank you so much for checking out my profile. If you're here, you likely want to know more about me or, more about PaperPie. My name is Amy Garcia and I work as a Primary Montessori Teacher during the day, and love to spread my love for reading in the off hours. 

I grew up loving books, and reading anywhere, anytime, anyplace. I love holding a book in my hands and smelling it…okay I’m going to stop there before I freak you out. Recently, I was at a Montessori Teaching Conference where, my current team lead recruited me to PaperPie. 

We've been around for a long time, formerly Usborne Books & More, we rebranded in January of 2023, and we're now celebrating 1 year birthday under a new name!

I’m big on names and always want to know why a company picks a certain name, especially if they rebrand. So, I was wondering where the name PaperPie came from. And I thought you may enjoy this little tid-bit. 

“Paper obviously reflects the heart of our mission. Books and literacy. We are a company that brings you the best of the best in children’s publishing. The Pie represents a community, we get to do this together!” 

We gather for good around literacy and learning. 

I’ll tell you why I’m so passionate about PaperPie. I truly want you to be here because I believe in what I’m trying to sell you. What I love most about PaperPie is that their books are fun, interactive, and educational. They offer beautiful illustrations that are not only original but cost-effective and the company truly cares about teaching children to learn to love reading. They offer story book collections and phonics readers, but they also have additional learning tools. Such as…

…these clever little tools called Learning Wrap-Ups. And they’re basically designed to help your kids learn facts and retain them. We have everything from Math to Spanish, states & capitals and more. And to be honest, they’re way more fun than flashcards!

We now also get to offer SmartLab Toys, which are STEM based toys paired with books. They come in a variety of different topics such as baking, engineering, robots, and the human body.

PaperPie combines all the fun of books with other educational learning that is just as fun. From babies to elementary level reading, they also have magic painting books, jigsaw puzzles, and graphic novels. I personally believe that children need books from an early age – like birth, and throughout their entire lives. 

And from an insider’s perspective, PaperPie wants their Brand Partners and Team Leaders to be successful, so they truly offer a lot of support and incentives throughout their training period.
