About Abby Horbach

Hi, I'm Abby, an online health and fitness coach!! I am also an assistant principal at an alternative school (just completed my 12th year in education), and I have a passion for helping other reach their goals! 


My Metabolic Reset System is a metabolism “reset” consisting of multiple facets based on the client and their overall goals. There is no “one-size fits all” system with this! I individualize your plan and help you every step of the way with whatever your knowledge, background, and goals! I do ALL of the work, you just implement it!...Keep in mind, we go slow to go fast! This takes time ?


The plan includes:

  1. Nutrition: 

    1. First, we start with monitoring your diet. The goal is to get consistency and stability for your metabolism. We can't start in a calorie deficit, and we have to see where your calorie baseline is. This also is huge for future planning once we adjust things.  I have an  “Eat” and “Avoid” list to keep things simple that most of my current clients are utilizing! 

    2. After nutrition stabilization, we determine the next steps based on your weight, workouts, goals, etc. Nutrition doesn’t have to be scary or super time consuming!! It could entail tracking your “macros”  (Proteins, Carbs, Fats), looking at portion sizes, nutrient timing, etc. This is looked at weekly to make sure we are on track with your goals, and what you are doing is healthy and sustainable! 

      1. If macros or tracking your nutrition is new to you and you want to move forward with it, don’t worry! I will teach you! We can keep it super simple, or go more in depth depending on your comfort level! 

      2. It doesn't take a ton of work, just consistency--it could just be you taking pictures of what you're eating! We either increase or decrease macros depending on your weight and your goals. 

      3. This can be tracked easily in My Fitness Pal or my personalized app!

    3. I can provide recipes, meal prep ideas, etc. so you don’t have to!

 

  1. Workouts/Movement

    1. I am able to build workout/movement programs catered to your goals! From walking 10,000 steps per day to yoga to lifting to HIIT to wanting to be a bikini competitor, the program is tailored to you! We can always adjust and change as needed.

    2. I have a personalized app that syncs with Apple Watch, Garmin, FitBit, etc. where everything is tracked, including nutrition, sleep, calories burned, etc. so we are able to pull daily, weekly, and monthly data!

  2. Accountability

    1. You have 24/7 access/communication to me

    2. We do weekly video & phone check in's to see how things are going, what needs to be modified or just for a pep talk! 


  1. Other: During all of this, we work on habits, routines, mindset, positivity, gratitude, and any other obstacles you would like to discuss. I use multiple resources for this and am open to various ideas depending on the client! The counselor in me knows that we have to have our mental health in a good spot before we can do ANYTHING else!!--Yes, coach and a counselor!! ;)


The whole goal of coaching is to "educate” you on how to reach your goals in a healthy, sustainable way, through stabilizing your metabolism, nutrition, workouts, mindset, and accountability- that can be maintained long term! It’s a lifestyle!


Clients have access to all resources, assignments, and videos via Google and my website (which is currently under construction) so you can watch & work on your own time!
